Admins, Whitelist, and Bans
PuckServer lets you manage three separate lists for each server using Steam IDs.
In-game admins
Add Steam IDs to the admin list to give specific players in-game admin powers on your server. These players can kick, manage the game state, and perform other privileged actions within the game itself.
Whitelist
When the whitelist is enabled, only Steam IDs on the list can join. This is useful for private matches or community events. Enable it in the server settings, then add Steam IDs to the whitelist.
Bans
Add a Steam ID to the ban list to permanently block that player from joining your server. Banned players will be refused connection even if the whitelist is off.
Finding a Steam ID
You can find a player's Steam ID by:
- Opening their Steam profile and copying the 17-digit number from the URL (e.g.
76561198XXXXXXXXX) - Using a site like steamid.io and entering their Steam profile URL
