Temporary vs Permanent Servers

PuckServer supports two server lifetime modes: temporary and permanent.

Temporary servers

Temporary servers have a set duration in minutes. When the duration expires, the server is automatically stopped and removed. This is the only option on the free tier.

  • Free tier: up to 120 minutes (2 hours)
  • Power Player / Support: up to 1440 minutes (24 hours)

You can still delete or stop a temporary server manually before it expires.

Permanent servers

Permanent servers stay online indefinitely until you manually stop or delete them. This is a premium feature.

  • Power Player / Support: 1 permanent server slot
  • Developer: unlimited permanent servers

To create a permanent server, select the Permanent option when choosing your server duration during creation.

How do I upgrade to get permanent servers?

Subscribe via the PuckServer dashboard to receive the Power Player Discord role, which unlocks one permanent server slot. See Upgrading Your Subscription.
