Password Protection and Server Visibility

PuckServer gives you two ways to restrict access to your server.

Public vs private visibility

The public toggle controls whether your server appears in the in-game server browser. Turn it off to hide your server from the list - players will need to know the direct server details to connect.

Password protection

Set a password to require players to enter it before they can join. This works independently of the public/private toggle - you can have a visible server that still requires a password.

Whitelist

For tighter control, use the whitelist to restrict access to specific Steam IDs only. Only whitelisted players can join regardless of whether they know the password.

VoIP

The VoIP setting enables or disables in-game voice chat on your server. Toggle it in the server edit panel. Changes take effect on the next server start.
